Introducing The Duchess of Malfi

Over the past eight weeks, and through two rounds of open auditions, women from all over Southwestern Ontario came in to read for Bernard Hopkins in hopes of being offered the opportunity to play one of the greatest female characters ever written. Although some were very green, many had just finished years of considerable training and knew the play quite intimately.
It was an incredible process and a difficult choice.
In the end it was a local performer that our director felt had just the right qualities to help him create the magic required to bring this iconic character to life.
